Kazakhstan takes the 67th place in the “electronic availability” rating

Almaty. Business Resource. «Electronic availability» of Kazakhstan has improved. Last year the republic took the 69th line of the rating. In 2010 it rose for 2 levels upwards. Such were the results of the annual study of the organizations “Economist Intelligence Unit” and “IBM Institute for Business Value”, which is known as the “electronic availability” rating.
This year the study has changed its name for “rating of electronic economics development”. It was related to that in respect of the countries studied one can say that they have achieved “electronic availability” condition. That is, anytime Internet access became a norm. Now the emphasis is made on the maximum use of information technologies for the welfare of economics and society.

In 2010 leadership of the Scandinavian countries was confirmed: Sweden – on the first place, Denmark - on the second and the USA on the third place. The rating-makers took account of the condition of broadband networks and quality of Internet access with the help of cellular communications. In Asian countries indices in these spheres were higher as compared with the rest of the world; respectively the states of this region could rise in the rating.

The last places of the rating were taken by Algeria, Iran and Azerbaijan.
