Almaty. Business Resource. «Electronic availability» of Kazakhstan has improved. Last year the republic took the 69th line of the rating. In 2010 it rose for 2 levels upwards. Such were the results of the annual study of the organizations “Economist Intelligence Unit” and “IBM Institute for Business Value”, which is known as the “electronic availability” rating.
This year the study has changed its name for “rating of electronic economics development”. It was related to that in respect of the countries studied one can say that they have achieved “electronic availability” condition. That is, anytime Internet access became a norm. Now the emphasis is made on the maximum use of information technologies for the welfare of economics and society.

In 2010 leadership of the Scandinavian countries was confirmed: Sweden – on the first place, Denmark - on the second and the USA on the third place. The rating-makers took account of the condition of broadband networks and quality of Internet access with the help of cellular communications. In Asian countries indices in these spheres were higher as compared with the rest of the world; respectively the states of this region could rise in the rating.

The last places of the rating were taken by Algeria, Iran and Azerbaijan.

ALMATY. July 14. BNews.kz – Microsoft Kazakhstan officially announces the release of the Kazakh version of new operating system for PC Windows – Windows® 7. The product is available in the state language with the help of the Language Interface Pack (LIP) interface which may be installed on the Russian or English version of Windows® 7.
The version Language Interface Pack (LIP) enables to use up to 80% of interface elements in Kazakh. This product is free and may be downloaded on the Microsoft site: http://www.microsoft.com/kazakhstan.

«The Microsoft Corporation tries to make each of its products at most available for the people. So, Windows® 7 is by now translated into 54 world languages, out of which translation of 35 languages is complete localization, 19 languages are the LIP version. In Kazakhstan it is not the first localization of our products and we hope all of them will make for further development of the branch and conversion of state, commercial and social structures to the Kazakh language», – said the Director General of the Microsoft Kazakhstan Gunter Dam.

This project of localization is not only a contribution of the Microsoft to the development of IT-industry and increase computer literacy of the population, but also support in developing and learning the Kazakh language by all citizens living in the republic. So, the Kazakh language versions of the Microsoft products will allow both individual users and whole organizations to facilitate the work with information technologies. They also will help to further translation of documents circulation into the state language, will be a good support in the course of teaching Kazakh in schools and universities.
Release of these products was carried out with the support of the State terminological commission under the Government of the RK which took an active part in elaboration and approval of a special glossary consisting of professional terms in Kazakh.

So July 14, 2010 the company JSC “NAT Kazakhstan” held a seminar for the company’s customers, having familiarized them with the modern monitoring and management IT-instruments.

The employees of the company JSC “NAT Kazakhstan” told about key facilities of IT-solutions for optimization of a company’s work.

To the attention of the audience the following reports were presented:
• Monitoring and management of IT-infrastructure (MS SCOM);
• network configuration control (MS SCCM);
• automation of support service (MS SCSM);
• mobile objects monitoring system NOMAD.

The modern solutions of IT-infrastructure monitoring and management enable to provide with efficient work of information systems of an enterprise, reliability and accessibility of IT-services. Using these instruments a company obtains a possibility to considerably reduce the time of downtime of corporate systems and decrease a probability of business losses.

Use of systems of IT-infrastructure monitoring and management makes it possible to:
• optimize the use of information resources;
• increase the quality of IT-services and speed of eliminating of equipment and software failures;
• provide with reliability, safety and coordinated functioning of all components of IT-infrastructure;
• ease modernization of IT-infrastructure;
• increase the efficiency of the IT-department’s work several times.

The reports were devoted to the Microsoft System Center based solutions for monitoring, inventory, management and automation of processes according to the best practices described in the ITIL and MOF.
The reports aroused lively interest and a lot of questions, and a report at times used to grow into a discussion. Activity of the audience indicates not only interest but also topicality of these subjects. And the fact that our system NOMAD aroused the same interest and was in some way a discovery for some people cannot but make us happy. We are glad we could attract the attention of customers and tell something new for them”.

Kigizbayev Daniyar, consulting engineer of the system-technical consulting department:
”My report was devoted to the instrument giving unquestionable advantages to the IT-department and enabling to increase the level of IT-services and to use resources of the IT-department more efficiently. I’m speaking about the product Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager. Every day it is more and more difficult to control the growth of IT-infrastructure, to keep it in order, know and see where, what and in what quantities is used. Inventory requires much time and power, and accounting of software is virtually impossible without special tools. SCCM based solutions provide all necessary tools for solving these problems”.

Aleksey Klokov, consulting engineer of the system-technical consulting department:
Today when IT-infrastructure is much important component for an enterprise, a monitoring tool of its accessibility and operability is necessary. With the growth of an enterprise its IT-infrastructure becomes more complex and heterogeneous, consisting of a large quantity of bundled software and hardware from different manufacturers. As the complexity of IT-infrastructure rises, requirements to monitoring systems increase too. I have presented the product System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 – a monitoring system giving all necessary tools for tracking IT-infrastructure’s state of medium- and large-scale enterprises.

This software automates all stages of business processes of correspondence delivery – from an operator’s booking to invoicing and controlling of payment; user interface is built so as to minimize the work of mail and messenger service specialists, at that decreasing an error risk as much as possible.

July 4, 2010 in Almaty in the ravine of the river Malaya Almatinka, within the limits of the annual Alpiniad “Nursultan 2010” there took place a heat by the route “Downhill site “Shymbulak” (220 m) – Talgar pass (3200 m) – Bogdanovich glacier (3500 m) – Komsomol pass (4050 m)”. Finish was at the peak Nursultan (4376 m).

This Kazakhstani Alpiniad “Nursultan – 2010” held for the 16th time was timed to the 70th anniversary of the president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The peak Nursultan is in the area of Tuyuksu in the Zailiyskiy Alatau. It is famous as a magnificent most beautiful peak named in honor of the first President of the RK N.Nazarbayev. Mass ascents repeatedly took place here in different years. It is worth to note that 13 years ago the peak was called the Komsomol peak and was for the first time plotted on maps before the revolution under the name of the Malyi Almatinskiy peak. The first group of Alpinists subjugated the peak in summer 1930. Since that time 15 mass Alpiniads were organized for ascents. The next was the 16th in succession.

All persons interested – about 2 thousand devotees of healthy life-style took part in the contest. Our company was not an exception and employees of the Almaty representative office of the NAT Kazakhstan – Mikhail Zezev, Roman Tishin and Denis Zhukov took an active part in subjugating of mountain peaks.

Mikhail Zezev, manager of the software engineering department of the Almaty representative office:
”It was the first ascent for me. It was not simply a walk in mountains, but exactly an ascent by a cliff with safety equipment and binders.

The number of people not related to mountaineering who took part in ascending was amazing. Before the hike we decided to take with ourselves the attributes of our company – we were going in peaked caps inscribed with “NAT” and had our pictures taken with our flag. And high up in the mountains our company had being recognized! Our employees were sent one’s regards and were wished success!

Of course we had unforgettable impressions from the hike itself… I’d like to wish all of us to conquer the highest and most difficult peaks!”

One may say with confidence that the holiday of sport was a success. The NAT employees subjugated mountain peaks and got a lot of positive emotions.

The chief goal of the event was to familiarize customers with modern platforms for IT infrastructure more thoroughly.

It is no secret that for providing with efficient activity the present-day enterprises need IT-infrastructure consisting of an integrated package of systems, programs and services. IT-infrastructure must be integral, maximum reliable, competently designed, must have a high safety factor, not only conform to the current state of business but also take its development in future into consideration.

June 29, 2010 the NAT Kazakhstan held the second seminar of the cycle “IT-infrastructure nowadays” for customers, on the subject of “Modern tool of information exchange and access control”.

Within the limits of this seminar certified specialists of the company told in detail about potential, peculiarities and advantages of IT-solutions in the sphere of providing employees of an organization, partners and customers with remote access to corporate IT services and integrated communications at any time, from any place with necessary person, using a mode of communication accessible at that moment.

Semen Vilitskiy, manager of the system-technical consulting department:
«Information is one of our chief assets. Information exchange, communications are an integral part of a life cycle which influences on the speed of decision-making – such significant index in the present-day world. Economic situation, traffic jams, volcanoes, all these negative factors tell greatly upon the process of information exchange, on communications. Nowadays information technologies are urged to ease information exchange, to control access to it, to use it more efficiently. Our engineers and experts told and shared their experience about what solutions and instruments can help in this».

So the consulting engineer Daniyar Kigizbayev has demonstrated the resources of integrated communications to the seminar participants in real-time mode. Today the system of integrated communications provides employees of the company with the possibility of instant messaging, voice and visual communication both inside and outside the company, at that reducing the necessity in unnecessary business trips and holding private conferences. The consulting engineer Aleksey Klokov told about new advantages of SharePoint 2010. Nowadays the enhanced version of the product SharePoint 2010 simplifies the process of making content and easily integrates with external data sources. A new platform gives all necessary tools to a business user for his at most convenient and visual organizing of necessary-to-him information at the node of SharePoint. Owing to the new platform employees of the company may obtain access to necessary information and process it from any device equipped with browser and having Internet, from a cellular phone to a computer in an Internet-café. SharePoint 2010 enables to build interaction with clients, partners and different structural subdivisions inside oneself within one platform.

«SharePoint in its new version appeared before us more “mature”. It has acquired high-end management facilities. A great deal was made in the respect of increasing its accessibility and scalability. From the viewpoint of an end user and administrator all new functions of SharePoint turn out to be much useful. I consider this product will soon pass from the “desirable for purchase” category to the “compulsory for use” category in each organization”.
The third report was devoted to the united portal of remote access - Microsoft Forefront Unified Access Gateway. This solution allows users being outside the corporate network to obtain safe remote access to internal applications and resources. The users may obtain access to web-applications and applications without web-interface, VPN-access to the corporate network and internal general file resources. Forefront UAG may be as a consolidated gateway, at that providing with access to several internal applications through the united portal or access to a single web-application.

«In my opinion, use of the Microsoft Company’s products together with the advanced experience of our company on integration of Microsoft solutions provides the Customer with enormous possibilities for solving topical tasks in the sphere of instant communications and organizing remote access”.
Within the limits of the seminar a new packaged product “Sesame” on access control and wealth recording was demonstrated. This solution is meant for keeping records of visitors, working time of employees, motor transport in the territory as well as for control of wealth movement within an organization.

Didar Attinov,
expert of the development group of the JSC “NAT Kazakhstan”:
“The packaged solution “Sesame” will fit seamless into IT-infrastructure of any enterprise. The software product “Sesame” includes the works of access system and keeps records of fixed assets in an organization. For more efficient work a bar coding technology is used (in development, Radio Frequency Identification), it considerably facilitates the work of users. A possibility of integration with other systems, for instance with ERP, will fasten the process of inventory and will connect it with fiscal accounting”.

Appraising the results of the event one can surely state that solutions provided by the company “NAT Kazakhstan” allow a customer to get more efficient result and competitive advantages.

So June 25, 2010 in Astana the JSC “NAT Kazakhstan” opened a cycle of seminars for its customers – “IT infrastructure nowadays” which deals with the matters of optimization of IT-infrastructure.
The first seminar’s subject was “Efficiency through virtualization”, on this seminar surveys of VMware and Microsoft technologies were presented in the light of tasks topical for customers:
• accelerated return of investments at the expense of more efficient use of IT-resources.
• decrease of aggregate cost of IT-infrastructure owning.
• dynamic distribution of computational resources in accordance with the requirements of business.
• increase of flexibility and reliability of informational systems of a company.

More than 40 representatives of state structures, largest enterprises and banks of Astana took part in the work of the event.

The participants of the seminar was greeted by the managing director on relations with clients Anton Olegovich Spitsyn who wished the participants to know something new and useful for them and to be in the vanguard of IT. A series of reports was opened by the manager of the system-technical consulting department Vilitskiy Semen with presentations on Virtualization of servers and Workstations. Chief emphasis in his speech was made on the significance of virtualization technologies for successful building of efficient IT-infrastructure and unquestionable achievements of VMWare in this sphere.

The other key subject of the seminar was “Operating system for a modern data processing centre”. VMware vSphere is a modern virtualization system having the strongest functional which will make it possible to achieve much more efficient use of resources, since it provides with unification of standard infrastructure resources into an united pool and overcomes restrictions of the out-of-date model “one application for a server”.

The consulting engineer of the system-technical consulting department Aleksey Klokov told about what virtual applications are and how they enable to increase the reliability of works, decrease the cost of IT-infrastructure managing and make it more flexible.

In the opinion of the seminar participants, such events are significant for them, since they enable not only to know about new solutions, but also to get acquainted closer and associate with qualified specialists, to clear up subtle, interesting moments.

“In the present-day world where the time of responding to the changes in market behaviour is of great importance, any technological solution enabling to reduce this time is a competitive advantage. And virtualization is such a solution.

We begin our seminars cycle which will be devoted to solutions for a modern organizations’ IT-infrastructure just from reports about Virtualization, for the purpose of attracting attention of modern specialists to the matter of efficient use of IT-resources”.
